Ben’s interest in food and love of cooking has shaped our lives in many ways. Particularly in the places we have lived and worked together.
Straight out of University Ben began his training in Emilia Romagna where he was privileged to learn classic kitchen skills under Maestros Corelli and Marcattilii. He then spent many happy years cooking in great Italian restaurants and a long spell in Galicia learning Spanish cuisine.
When I came along Ben was enjoying a unique lifestyle as personal chef to Luigi Veronelli the Italian restaurant and wine critic (editori Veronelli). We fell in love in Lombardy and worked together in Tuscany and Ravenna. Ending up in the Italian owned Pelican Hotel on Miami Beach, we started our family.
Now settled in Bath amongst family and friends, we bring you our own special place for honest, rustic food that won’t cost you a fortune.
