This great location and unique style make the Bathwick Boatman an ideal setting for all kinds of events including weddings, celebrations, birthday parties, Christmas, christenings and even wakes.

The restaurant is set above a real boat house (it was the old rowing club house), quite secluded, which can't be seen into from the road or car park, only from the river and the banks are screened with lush trees from April to October.  The covered terrace running along the side is lit with lanterns in the evening and the whole venue feels like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life although it’s only a short walk from the town centre.

Flexible and large capacity

The restaurant comprises of a single large room (seating up to 60) with a good sized bar and pretty double doors leading to the covered terrace overlooking the river (seats 20). We are well set up for larger group bookings and we would happily work with you on the menu, drinks and style of decoration so that you can personalize the venue for your own individual event.  The restaurant bar is also flexible to suit your party and budget.

You are welcome to have exclusive use of the restaurant for an agreed minimum number of people at a set price per head and there is no hire charge.
