View from the Bathwick Boatman restaurant across the river Avon

Enjoy great food on the riverside

Just 10 minutes stroll from Bath City Centre this lovely restaurant overlooks one of the prettiest reaches of the River Avon. Perched above Bath’s historic boating station, this old rowing clubhouse is a charming place to enjoy lunch or dinner.
There is a private car park or you could hop on a boat from Pulteney Weir!

Inspired by their years in Italy, chef-owner Ben Hall and his wife Rosy offer a deliciously simple and rustic menu made with the freshest produce on the market.
Everything is freshly prepared on the premises and the dishes reflect Ben’s love of robust earthy flavours.  Dedicated to using local produce (veg and salad are grown just by Solsbury Hill), and maintaining good value, Ben has an ever changing specials board and serves smaller portions for children.

The Boatman is a relaxed and informal restaurant for any occasion.
You can pop by for coffee on the tranquil terrace, a light lunch or a candle lit dinner. Punts and rowing boats are for hire from the Boating Station just below the restaurant and there is a private customer car park.

For accommodation and boating please go to www.bathboating.co.uk or phone 01225 312900 for details on facilities and prices. The Boating Station has a collection of rowing punts, skiffs and canoes, hand built on the premises by the fourth generation of family boat builders. They use wood from sustainable forests. All the craft are available for hire by the hour or by the day.
